i assume it was a gift which is happening at most colleges these days. I talked several years ago with a math teacher in ny who quit vs get fired because he would not give b grades to nurse studends who were not capable of doing the work. He retired early vs try to continue under pressure.

i had another friend who thirty years ago as a professor in boston area . was told if the student was smart enough to get into here . then they are smart enough to get a b grade. it was understood he does not grade below a B

i experienced it myself with business graduates that couldn't do basic reconciliations. i am talking clerical work. Again these experience were more than 35 years ago. i have been out of the work force that long. gg

no wonder more young kids are moving into trades vs college education

I’ve been wondering about this as well - how did she make it through U. Of California Law school in SF, pass the Bar, reportedly successfully held a few government jobs - and later, became the DA of San Francisco - and a few years after that - the AG of California. Later - the Senate, etc.

To have such a skyrocketing career, having influential boyfriends may help - but still, the person must have some abilities. But, she doesn’t show them.

So, yeah, I’m quite puzzled about it.
