Ha Ha. I'm a Prime member with Amazon and I've never explored their music offering. Am I right that is free with Prime?

If the song/album is marked "Prime", then yes it's free :)

I have also purchased song songs/albums as well... I like that it's on my phone & portable ;)

Ok. I see.

I've never purchased one song or album anywhere that wasn't on vinyl or a cd. I'm probably the only one in the world, but my phone does not have one song on it.

I know, it's sad.

I just like the 'portability' of it...

I completely understand.

I don't like the quality of it.

Digital is definitely not as 'warm' as analog/vinyl, but I like it when I'm on an airplane, or traveling in general...

We've broken into the video vault and we'll be uploading legendary live performances at a steady clip of one a week from here until...eternity, we hope. Yessiree, every Thursday you'll find a new selection added to the ALL THE YEARS LIVE playlist on the Dead's Official YouTube Channel. Subscribe and we promise you won't miss a thing!
To kick off the series, Archivist David Lemieux is going to tee up our first video, "Morning Dew" from 10/18/74:
From the middle night of a five night stand that were billed as the Dead's "Farewell Concerts," this is widely considered one of the greatest, and most emotional, versions of "Morning Dew" ever performed by the Grateful Dead. Thankfully, the Dead's farewell proved to be a two year hiatus from live touring, and in June 1976 they returned to the road.

ALL THINGS AOXOMOXOA:
50TH ANNIVERSARY RELEASES
OUT NOW
"Aoxomoxoa is the work of the magical band. Can you hear this music and not see them before your eyes? The music is so much the reality of their physical and spiritual bodies that seeing them is the wonder of seeing music. Phil Lesh’s intensity and total dispatch driving his bass surpassingly, threading solidly, commandingly, laying line over line over line into the expanding spectrum of physical sounds that they are illuminating. Bob Weir, the rhythm guitarist and sometime vocalist sounds better every night, looks healthy, is pleasing and unpolished enough to charm you, to put out the extra push of directness that makes you feel welcomed. Mickey Hart, the jubilant percussionist and his partner Bill, less rollicking but cheerful — both dynamic, resonant drummers. Tom Constanten, the keyboard man coming into his own with vibrant riffing and subtly chiming embellishments. And out front of these perfectly interweaving, very together people is Jerry Garcia’s luminous guitar stroking.
The singing is mostly Jerry — a dominant and exquisite person emanating serene unconsciousness and tenderness. Trembling, sensual, whimsical tenderness. Jerry is beautiful; not too serious, not too sweet, not too angelic, but not ordinary, not surrendered to a style. Jerry’s voice is emotional and musical in the same-non-verbal way that flesh is tender and loving real. If you can feel, he can reach you. The gentle choir, the dancing mountain harpsichording, the mystical aura of another consciousness — reflections of rain and sand and sitting mellow in warm sunlight smiling. Elemental and celebratory and they don’t need to fool you because they aren’t fooling themselves, they don’t need to. No other music sustains a life style so delicate and loving and lifelike." - Rolling Stone , July 12, 1969
The AOXOMOXOA 50TH ANNIVERSARY DELUXE EDITION features two versions of the album - one fully remastered from the original 1969 mix and the other remastered from the definitive 1971 band-produced mix. This is the first time both mixes will be presented together in a single release. We've also included a bonus disc of previously unreleased live music recorded January 24-26, 1969 at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA.
