I am sort of glad Clark will not be going to the olympics, she needs rest.

I know the power of rest to a tired mind or body.

A months rest and we will see a female Michael Jordan in second half.

I remember how Jordan could go down court and make a basket and weave through an entire team and no one could stop him.

I saw him do it against Magic Johnson and he could not stop him!

Clark does all that and passes better than anyone ever has.

As she and her teammates perfect the passing game, they are going to revolutionize the sport.

And Clark has Boston who can play her role better than almost anyone in the WNBA, once she learns it.

And she is smart.

I'll bet Boston has taken up distance running to be quicker and stronger in a month.

Ogunbawale went off. 34 points in one half. Our Olympic team made a nice comeback, but came up short to the young guns. Reese came off as likeable.

Poetic Justice: Ogunbawle withdrew from olympic consideration saying :' it was all political".

Then she comes back and kicks their ass-lol!

She is a better player than most on the olympic team and they shunned her just like they did Clark.

The olympic team consists of the sisterhood who use their power to give each other favors, like Taursi, and not necessarily the best players.

The "sisterhood" had control of a second class sports orgainzation that lost money every year, and no on ewatched, and now is a multi-billion dollar organization with the eyes of the world on them, and they are not ready for prime time!

I am glad Clark is getting a months rest. She needed it.

Taurasi had 6 rebounds 5 assists and 14 points in 20 minutes of playing time. Clark had 1 rebound 10 assists and 4 points in 26 minutes. Again, you need to stop watching those Clark fanboy videos that thrive on a Clark vs the World narrative. Whereas you apparently saw a grudge match, I saw an entertaining game with huge ratings where everyone there seemed genuinely thrilled to play with the best of the best to the best of their ability.

You cannot use a broad brush indictment as some of those podcasters are smart people.

The great thing about the internet is it can access good knowledge worldwide.

And a developed mind can do a pretty good job avoiding the not so smart people-lol!

And a good reason to develop one's mind.

I have spent my long life searching the world for knowledge. Read a thousand books, and looked under a thousand rocks, and around a thousand corners.

Living a life of ignorance made no sense to me e.g. "what is really going on with this existence, and what the fuck is the universe about!?

Anyway, I digress-lol.

The WNBA and ESPN do have a "clique", sisterhood, and they are working to keep their power and privilege, by " keeping others down.

So imagine what a threat Clark is!

And the perfect example is Arike Ogunbowale, probably the second best player in the WNBA who THEY shut out of the olympics, and other major events.

She withdrew from consideration because she knew the "fix" was in and she would NOT be selected!

She is better than almost anyone on the olympic roster, as she showed last night!

For better or worse, you are talking about "human nature". The way I explain this to people is what I call the lifeboat example. Once you've made it on the lifeboat, you sure as heck are not getting off. Further, it's to your benefit and everyone else on said lifeboat to make sure you remain there and that the lifeboat remains seaworthy (i.e. there's a limit to who you allow to join you). It's also human nature to convince yourself you deserve to be on that lifeboat... or at least nobody else could possibly be more deserving.

Team sports in general are completely subjective. Unlike the lifeboat example, the so-called clique you are talking about consists of the athletes who have ascended to the top of their sport over the past two decades. Was the NBA a clique when they rejected Dominique Wilkins, Isiah Thomas, Reggie Miller, and Clyde Drexler for the 1992 Dream Team? And these guys were not rookies, but bonafide Hall-of Famers!

This guy is my favorite WNBA analyst.

I think you will like him. He is very fair, nice, smart and professional.

In this video he talks about Clark and how smart she is.

She dribbles to the paint, and draws all the opposing team toward her and then passes to a free player.

And this is how I see it, just not as smart as he is-lol!

The guy shows that she the court general directing the plays.

They put Haley Van Lith on that team and she is not nearly as good as a ton of WNBA players?

Never could figure that out?

Clark, Reese , and Oganbowale are all 10 times better than Lith.

She sells her brand and they got duped, or something?
