Out for a drive on Saturday 27 May 2023. Needed more O2 and I didn't bring any. People say to me to bring an extra tank. That's easier said than done. I have this severe fear of running out of O2.
During a tank swap in the doctor's office, Center Street North Medical Center. I was changing it in the room with Dr. Nwadike, and the washer stuck to the tank, it was supposed to be on the regulator. I had no tools. I asked Dr. Nwadike if he had any tools, when he heard the loud sound of O2 leaking, he jumped up from his chair and with both hands in the air saying "I am not mechanically inclined". Then he ran out of the office, I mean he ran the frick out.
Its happened at home, now I have tools in my car and in the O2 bag to prepare for this again. The problem is the washer is so tiny you can lose it.
I have had masks break as well. I guess all you can do is your best and rely on the equipment and the knowledge that I have been in that situation before and I fixed it. If I run out of O2, I will pass out within 20 min and die. According to the tech at the O2 company and my lung doctor. |
