While most Democrats and leftists are silent on this atrocity, Max Blumenthal and The Grayzone are not.

As he waited for a food delivery at his home in Los Angeles, Ryan Wentz, an anti-war activist and producer for the online viral program Soapbox, heard two men calling his name from over his front gate. When he approached, he realized they were not delivery drivers, but police officers flashing badges of the California Highway Patrol.
The cops informed Wentz that they had received a call from the Capitol Police, the federal law enforcement agency tasked with protecting the US Congress, about a tweet he had sent that allegedly threatened Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Wentz said, "The officers said, ‘We got a warning about a sitting member of Congress. And it was because of your tweet, which tagged them in it.’ And then they just wouldn’t back down from this accusation that I threatened to kill her." Tom |

twitter.com
Stephen McIntyre sums up President Trump's dilemma very well:
If Trump had been similarly perceptive about the "warmongering fools" he appointed to his administration, he'd still be in office.
Or are "warmongering fools" so omnipresent in political administrative class that it's impossible to form an administration in modern US without them?
Because such a large percentage of Republicans in congress were anti-populist, anti-working class and pro-regime change wars, Trump never had a majority. Seems to me that he was at real risk of early impeachment on Russiagate hoax if he crossed neocon warmongers. No easy answer.
twitter.com The key is that anti-war liberals gladly collaborate with war-mongering Neocons, and vice versa. Why? Because liberals aren't anti-war. It's just posturing. And Neoconservatives aren't conservative. That's also posturing. |

| From: Thomas M. | 7/10/2021 7:05:23 PM | | | | | | In 1996 the Khobar Towers housing complex in Saudi Arabia was destroyed by a truck bomb. US forces were stationed there. Common sense suggested it was Bin Laden. The evidence supported this idea. However, the CIA station chief blamed Iran for the attack. He wanted to demonize Iran for political reasons.
The FBI director Louis Freeh also wanted to pursue this angle and prosecute Iran for it. But the DOJ's Washington field office was reluctant, so Freeh tried to get the case moved to the Virginia field office. AG Reno blocked the move. Then, Reno left and the new Acting Deputy Attorney General agreed to move it to Virginia. The Virginia prosecutor happily pursued the fraudulent case.
Had we treated this case seriously and honestly, it's quite likely Bin Laden would have been taken more seriously and 9/11 would not have happened.
Who was the CIA station chief? John Brennan
Who was the Acting Deputy Attorney General that agreed to move the case? Robert Mueller
Who was the compliant Virginia prosecutor? James Comey

We've been cursed with this trio for a long time now.

| From: Thomas M. | 8/16/2021 11:17:32 AM | | | | | | “In great empires the people who live in the capital, and in the provinces remote from the scene of action, feel, many of them scarce any inconveniency from the war; but enjoy, at their ease, the amusement of reading in the newspapers the exploits of their own fleets and armies.
To them this amusement compensates the small difference between the taxes which they pay on account of the war, and those which they had been accustomed to pay in time of peace.
They are commonly dissatisfied with the return of peace, which puts an end to their amusement, and to a thousand visionary hopes of conquest and national glory, from a longer continuance of the war.”
