Hi Rick:

There was a news release on Feb. 2nd. It was as follows:

Ore Concentrate At Smelter

Forefront Ventures is pleased to announce that its concentrate is now at the government smelter (Metmex Penoles) in Torrean, Coahuila. Delays due to unusually cold, snowy weather at the mill in Chihuahua, Mexico as well as sponsorship and registration requirements at the smelter have been overcome. Monies received from the smelter will be used to complete the last stage of Forefront's own floatation mill. To date three proposals have been received all of which are within Forefront's means to complete. A decision on contractors will be made soon. Construction should begin in mid-February.
ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
"JEAN BEASANT"

You can send an E Mail to the following address:

Please post an update if you get any further information.
Much appreciated.

To All:

Another news release that appears positive:

Feb: 26,1998

REVENUE RECEIVED FROM MEXICAN MINE

Forefront Ventures is pleased to announce receipt of its first revenue from Mexican operations. These monies will enable completion of its mill under construction. The last two major pieces of machinery needed: a six cell floatation bank and a one hundred and fifty kilo watt power plant are under contract waiting payment. Payment will be made this week. All minor machinery (motors, pumps, pipes...etc) is available on budget. Progress is now accelerating to the anticipated date of full production, March 31st, 1998.

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Clifford:

According to the company's quarterly report for the period ending June 30, 1998, "June saw the startup of the operation. While the major components worked well, major problems with the electrical system stopped production after only 3 hours. The starter for the ball mill needed to be replaced and was; operations were to recommence in early July, 1998."

The quarterly report was dated September 28, 1998. As to whether gold mining operations really recommenced in July, I'm afraid your guess is as good as mine. Forefront's unwillingness to provide information is discouraging, to say the least.

Anyway, hope the above is of some help.

Does anybody know what is going on with this company? Has it indeed turned into First Echelon Ventures (FEV.V), as my quote server indicates? Has there been a reverse split? I cannot find any information anywhere. Any help appreciated.
