One person picked Teoscar Hernandez of the Los Angeles Dodgers. As nobody here is a Dodgers fan*, I can't imagine who might have done so.

* Though I do admit Sr K's 5000+ posts about the Dodgers does have me a tad suspicious he leans that way.

Since 1969, the fastest a team had ever lost a 10-game division lead was 33 games, by the 1995 Angels. The Mariners lost their 10-game lead in the AL West this season in just 24 games.

Now that the WNBA is on break, we can all get back to watching some baseball, right?

No question the Brewers are going to run away with the division while the Pirates just sink like a submarine with screen doors. Therefore, if I were the Pirates, I'd immediately be trading Skenes to the Yankees as a means to lessen their payroll two more seasons from now when he is able to renegotiate. If Pittsburgh balks at the idea, maybe toss in a few truckloads of wieners. Yes, I know. Clearly I should have been a GM.

This thread appears to have died after the All-Star break...

...much like the Mariners' chances of making the playoffs this season.

(yet again)

Nothing like starting a new 20+ year streak of ineptitude.
