The order directs the Treasury and Interior Departments to eliminate tax credits and preferential treatment for wind and solar projects, citing concerns over energy reliability, national security, and dependence on foreign-controlled supply chains. It builds upon provisions in the recently enacted “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” mandating strict enforcement against early eligibility tactics and reaffirming support for dispatchable domestic energy sources. The administration called the move critical to ending market distortions and reclaiming energy dominance.
