A quick advertisement for our annual football contest: Subject 53350

Each week, you pick a small sampling of games against the spread. Specifically, a different contestant each week picks two Saturday and two Sunday afternoon games to consider. We then add to that any of the nationwide games (typically the night games on Thursday, Sunday, and Monday). You get one point for each correct pick. The person with the most number of correct picks by the end of the regular season wins the million dollar prize that Bill so thoughtfully contributes each year.

Now, as you might expect, a football picking thread has a bit of a different vibe than a golf picking thread. It may also come as a shock to some that there's a smattering of football fans who don't bleed NY Giants blue. I'm pretty sure some folks are big adherents of doing mushrooms. One word comes to mind: tolerance.

So if you are a fan of football, might like a team other than the Giants, or don't mind mushrooms on your pizza, consider joining.
