My take on Clark so far: Some say she is not the Goat. I think she is definitely "The Goat"!
| Ironically, Clark IMO, was ahead of the rest of the Fever, not behind. People misunderstood what was happening and blamed her.
The Fever are a shitty team and a couple of players are not helping her e.g. Erica Wheeler.
They were not giving her the ball, blocking for her and dribbling into air trying to out shoot her, and not passing to her. They should have been playing to her.
And that coach should have seen that. She saw some of Clarks game as " bad habits" she had to break. Her mistake she should not have made! She is not up to Clarks game.
Neither her coach or team was up to her game. She had learned from the best Lisa Bluder, and she took that knowledge to the Fever. And her playing stats tell the story of her game.
They could not handle her passes, 10 turnovers a couple of games ago. That is on them. They were good passes mostly, and they did not have her hustle or her court IQ, they could not see where to go, stand or block. And they were too slow except for the other guard Kelsey Mitchel?
People need to remember all those WNBA players went to college and none of them did what she did.
She broke the all time record for points, and she was the top scorer and "passer"-both in 2024.
Geniuses mature early :).
And she single handedly more than doubled the WNBA's everything, money, attendance, commercial value and even increased size of league, and got them charter flights.
Her coach said:" we are catching up to her. Her coach is not up to the job.
As an aside, her detractor Taurasi, statistics in last game, were way below Clark, and Taurasi is a really dirty player with a big mouth.
I do not like her. And Clarks shut her down yesterday.
Clark is definitely :" The Goat" :)!
PS when they asked Clark about those who said she could not be great until she won a title, she said:" I don't agree that two games make the difference and disregarding my entire career!
Yes!! That was so stupid to say that.
