Religions -- of all types -- are what have established the moral and ethical bases for civilized societies. And yes, they've been more or less corrupted at times, not unlike the politicians that they've produced. In the end, it's GIGO, swayed by the writers of the algorithms and the GI that they've already digested and regurgitated thanks to the bias in the database that's reflected over the past 20+ years of social media and data manipulation. The FBI (and other intel agencies) and certain cooperative news media have been known for a trick involving the FBI planting a story with a cooperative media contact who publishes it, then permitting the FBI to cite the "legitimate" news media as a seemingly unbiased source when, e.g. seeking warrants and wiretaps. Similarly, AI can use "planted" information to establish facts, history, and analysis in order to make decisions that will affect the future. AI can be a force multiplier for falsehood.
